It's important to recognize that the pandemic has impacted people's mental health differently based on a broad range of demographic factors including age, sex, race, socio-economic status, geographic location and many more. Racialized communities, people with mental illness, front-line workers and LGBTQ Canadians are particularly vulnerable to negative mental health effects.
