Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign 2021 National Launch Event

Description

Kick off this year's Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) with a special virtual launch event. This live webcast will bring together public servants from coast to coast to coast to show support for charitable work in Canada and demonstrate how our gifts matter now more than ever. Together we can make a difference in local communities in a time of great need.

This event will feature:

  • opening remarks from the GCWCC Elder in-residence
  • opening remarks from special guests of honour, including the Interim Clerk of the Privy Council, Janice Charette and Her Excellency The Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada
  • a short video vignette showcasing how departments and public servants showed their support during COVID-19
  • a message from our named recipients, HealthPartners and United Way Canada, on the impact that every donation has on local communities
  • GC Has Talent: find out which of your colleagues could be the Government of Canada's next star!
